Our story

The Ride

The Effingham Toy Ride is a Christmas motorcycle run with one job: fill the toy pile for local kids. Bikers, businesses and families all roll together, and every toy stays right here in Effingham County.

10:00 AM

Kickstands up

We start at the Effingham County Fairgrounds. Come early, line up, and meet the pack before we roll.

The run

Laurel Street

The pack rides through Laurel Street with the community lined up to cheer the toys home.

After the ride

Downtown Springfield

The party lands in downtown Springfield: vendors, local shops and the Passport Books scavenger hunt.

Gear up

What to bring

  • A new, unwrapped toy (or two). That’s what this ride is all about.
  • A full tank before you get to the fairgrounds.
  • Warm layers. Late-November mornings can bite at speed.
  • Bungee cords or a backpack to haul your toy safely.
  • Your holiday spirit. Santa hats, lights and tinsel on the bike are encouraged.

Ride rules

  • Follow the road captains and road guards at all times.
  • Ride staggered, keep your spacing, and don’t pass within the pack.
  • Wear a helmet. It’s Georgia law.
  • No drinking before or during the ride.
  • Secure every toy. Nothing should fall off on Laurel Street.

Not on two wheels?

Everybody’s welcome. Come cheer the pack down Laurel Street, meet us downtown, shop the vendors, or volunteer. You can also donate a toy even if you can’t make the ride.
